Story:
I think a lot of us have this feeling that we work hard to earn the things we want. We believe we've made it this far because of our strength and determination alone - we've given the blood, sweat and tears to see things through and now we deserve to reap the rewards.
I've been there. I'll be the first to tell you those things are immensely important.
Lately though, I've realized the blessings I've seen far outweigh anything I've done. There have been more times than I can count where I've been treated better than I should be; I've received opportunities, experiences and relationships that I just don't deserve. I've realized that the reason for all of those things is actually very simple.
It's grace.
Grace is a hard word for people to explain. Ask 10 different people what it means and you'll get just as many different answers. As we celebrate Easter, I wanted to share my thoughts on the word.
This is going to get a bit personal, but I want to be super real with you.
Grace, to me, is God's unbelievable love, even when I don't deserve it. It's the reason I'm here, writing this to you. If I'm completely honest - I don't feel like I'm special enough to be the person leading this charge - to take on the task of uniting people all around the world to change it for the better. It's only because of grace that I get to speak with you, to share in these experiences with each and every one of you in a real, meaningful way.
My hope for this Strap is that it'll help you recognize grace in your own life. To understand that even though you don't deserve it, it's there for one simple reason: because you are loved.
